Tun Cottage

Tun Cottage is a beautiful English country home with modern amenities offering our guests bed and breakfast at a high standard. When a hotel or guest accommodation is assessed the number of stars gives an indication of accommodation standard, cleanliness, ambience, hospitality, service and food. Generally, the more stars the higher the level of quality. Gold awards are given to hotels and guest accommodation that provide exceptional quality in all areas but in particular in service and hospitality. As such we are delighted to have been awarded a 4* Gold Award by Visit Britain: Quality in Tourism.

We are also pleased to have been awarded the Quality in Tourism Breakfast Award which recognises those hotels and B&Bs that offer their guests a quality and choice of breakfast, service and hospitality that exceeds what would be expected at their star rating.

Breakfast is served in the lovely Guest Drawing Room or, in the summer, on the balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens.

We are very proud of our 2 acre gardens and are happy for our guests to walk around and enjoy them or simply sit on one of the number of benches that are scattered around the garden. However, for our guests with children, we want to draw your attention to the fact that there are 3 unfenced ponds in the garden. So whilst we are very happy for you to sit outside or walk around the grounds we ask you to supervise your children at all times.

Room rate includes continental breakfast comprising locally baked bread for delicious toast, homemade preserves, pastries, fruit juice, cereals, fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. Or if you prefer, you could choose a cooked breakfast (such as Full English or smoked salmon and scrambled egg) which is available at £8 per person, £4 child 3-10 years. We also offer a function room, the Conservatory, for Corporate Team Meetings or Training events (maximum of 16 delegates). This is a large (9.5m x 4m) naturally lit room with views over the garden. We can provide a choice of buffet lunch menus, tea, coffee, cake and biscuits. We can also host birthday parties and dinner parties (for up to 20 people).
